Besides his academic formation in Plastic Art, history of the art and archaeological research, Bernard Gomez acquires knowledge on oriental and extreme oriental art by many journeys in various country of Asia or Orient, and also of South America staying a long time on the archaeological and historic sites, privileging the direct contacts with the local specialists, taking the teaching of the" Masters ", of the historians, of the archaeologists and also of the local populations.
His numerous and frequent journeys of studies, research and cultural collaborations took place during all his studies or professional activity from 1968 to 2005 in more of 30 countries, staying of long periods in every country.
